ABOUT
SKADI Foundation is a registered non-profit foundation composed of experienced volunteers dedicated to making motorized mountain adventures safe and enjoyable for everyone. SKADI Foundation's Board ensures funds are invested prudently and revenues generated are disbursed through a variety of projects.
Mission Statement
Minimize motorized user risk in avalanche terrain by providing leadership, development, and communication of mountain survival and safety education, warnings, products, and services.
PROJECTS
AMBASSADORS
Ambassador Program
Sponsor training and mentoring of persons who wish to establish a career in motorized mountain sports through the Ambassador Program. Ambassadors provide content for print and video media and make appearances at outreach tours, presentations and events. Upon contract completion Ambassadors are recognized as highly-trained and qualified instructors and athletes in the motorized sport community.
OUTREACH TOURS
Fall, Winter and High-School
Outreach Tours
Tours in Western Canada in select locations with strong snowmobiling populations to: access local stakeholders and suppliers, distribute/showcase printed and digital media, conduct educational presentations and gain content for Lessons Learned Series.
MEDIA CAMPAIGNS
Print and Digital
Media Campaigns
Generate a variety of print and digital media to be distributed/showcased at evets, outreach tours, presentations, social media and additional outlets. Produce 4 video series including:
Lessons Learned Series: short videos of people’s close call experiences, The A Team Edits: 45-minute video with riding clips and educational messaging, Critical Thinking Series: video clips of The A Team Edits to focus on snow analysis and risk management, Vlogs: short vlogs conducted by Ambassadors with shot lists and riding conditions.
